Welcome! This page is part of the ILGREENE website. Together we can work to accomplish many things but the decision to post or not to post is mine. My decisions will be reviewed by those "higher in the chain of command" periodically. If they determine anything is not within the scope of our laws and bi-laws, they will make certain recommendations. That's the way it is! Updates will be made as soon as possible to each category. It may take hours or days or even months or years. We want to provide the best service as possible. Make sure you understand, however, there will be mistakes. Verify every piece of information you get from these sites and always, always recorded your sources.

The Volunteers that once were listed have been removed. Three times I emailed them and three times I received no reply.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! Contact me as soon as possible.
If you are interested in doing lookups for Greene County, please contact Marty Crull The people who do lookups are volunteers, so please use this service only for Greene County.
USGenWeb policy prohibits lookup volunteers from infringing on copyrights, so please do not ask for large quantities of information, information on multiple people, or photocopies of pages from the books. If you see a book listed for lookups that you hold the copyright to and do not want it used, please notify the county coordinator and it will be removed.
When asking for a look-up please limit what you
are asking for to one event or name per request. Be as specific as possible
giving full names and dates if you have them. Please indicate the type of look-up you
want by typing the name of the event in the subject line; MARRIAGE, CEMETERY, WHITE HALL, or CENSUS.
If your request asks for info on all the SMITHs in Greene County, or if you ask the volunteer to look in ALL their books, your query will NOT be answered. Be kind to our volunteers, they work hard to help you.
Our thanks go out to all of our volunteers for taking
the time to do lookups! The Volunteers that once were listed
have been removed. Three times I emailed them and three times I received no
answer.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! Contact me as soon as possible. Thanks
